Reading Referral Program!

I am excited to introduce a Reading Referral Program which is really simple!

For every person you refer who books their own paid email reading appointment with me you get 50% off your own reading.  The only “catch” is they MUST give me your name as the referring party at the time they are booking their appointment with me.

I will be making other announcements in the very near future, but in the meantime please consider who you will refer to me so you can receive your own confidential readings at 50% off!

My Code of Ethics

As a proud member of American Tarot Association and Tarot Professionals I thought it best if I posted my Code of Ethics, which are, in fact, the same as the American Tarot Association's.  This protects my clients as well as myself
1.     I will serve the best interests of my clients, conducting my professional activities without causing or intending to cause harm.
2.     I will treat all my clients with equal respect, regardless of their origin, race, religion, gender, age or sexual preference.
3.     I will represent honestly my Tarot qualification, including educational credentials and experience.
4.     I will keep confidential the names of clients and all information shared or discussed during readings, unless otherwise requested by the client or required by a court of law.

6.     I will discuss and agree upon all fees (if any) with my clients in advance should a client wish to proceed beyond the originally agreed arrangement.  All additional fees (if any) will be discussed and agreed upon by both parties before proceeding.
7.     I will respect my clients’ right to refuse or terminate their reading at any time, regardless of prior consent.

World Tarot Day

Yes!  World Tarot DayTM is quickly approaching.

Each year it is celebrated on May 25th.  It was founded by Grandmaster Den Elder in 2003 after she grew tired of hearing negative and misinformed comments in the media.  She decided it was time to show the world at large the value of Tarot Cards.

This year, to celebrate, I will be giving a FREE talk at my town’s Public Library.  So far it is scheduled for Wednesday May 17 at 6pm.  It will be fun, informative and who knows?  Maybe some free sample readings if time permits!

The whole object of this talk is to inform the public of the diversity of Tarot Cards, a VERY brief history (including a few surprises), some fun facts, going over some “scary” cards, dispelling some myths and a questions and answers segment.

I look forward to meeting new friends and celebrating World Tarot DayTM with the public.

11 March 2017

Lovely, bright, new, beginnings!

I took a long overdue sabbatical of sorts and got reacquainted with several Tarot Decks.  To really bond with them, one sleeps with a deck under their pillow.  I hadn’t done that in quite some time, not since I first obtained them, then again it’s been quite a while.

In any case, have you ever gone to a party then fallen asleep while everyone around you is talking and having a great time?  Or have you ever taken a “cat nap” where your physical body is sleeping but you can hear what’s going on all around you?  Let me just say that it was a busy and noisy slumber with all the cards “speaking” at once or having conversations with each other.  Some comical and some philosophical.

So, last October I was invited by an organization to read for many, many wonderful people in what the hostess called a “Tarot Party”.  I had the privilege of helping each and every one of the guests with their private readings.  A few of the guests were apprehensive and wouldn’t touch the cards; fortunately my reading style is no nonsense just spit it out in a humorous kind of way and they were immediately put at ease.  It was a busy afternoon; I read for six straight hours and didn’t get the least bit tired.  I am looking forward to doing this again.

I have renewed my memberships with, and am a proud member of, the American Tarot Association as well as Tarosophy Tarot Associations (Worldwide).  When one becomes a Tarot Reader it not always becomes a professional vocation.  Some use Tarot as a tool for writing, for inner reflection, for problem solving, for accessing their unconscious, for practicing the sacred art of storytelling, etc.…but one never stops learning and expanding upon their knowledge.

I am looking forward to maintaining this blog as it should be in my mind’s eye, like coming home with family or friends to have tea or coffee and discuss our days and thoughts.

Until next time…

Daily Reading

This is a famous card. Two poor folk sit outside a church with five pentacles on its stained glass window. This is a card that predicts loss, financial loss, bad luck, a possible set-back in health. It is a hard time, as all fives are. The poor folk feel embarrassed by their poverty, but they are too proud to ask for help, preferring to rely on each other rather than begging for help from the rich church.

This card relates as well to the emphasis on community and social norms. In some views of the card those out in the storm have chosen to be out there. Society disapproves of them or their relationships and rather than bow down to traditional standards, they stay outside. Like the other fives, there is the issue of pride and humility.

The problem, "How can I survive this hard-up time without compromising my pride?"

The answer: "You have to re-evaluate your values."

While those in this card may have lost material things, even the respect of society, they still have each other. Such times teach us who our real friends are, who is honestly generous, and what really matters to us.

When times are good again, we will remember what we learned in these hard times and not be fooled by fake friendships or fickle social regard. We will know who and what we can really trust.

Daily Reading

Four of Cups

The man under the tree is still, actually comfortably seated, but it's clear that his feelings are on edge maybe even bored. Think of those who stew in their emotions, grumbling and grousing, maybe wasting their time. He's too locked in habit and routine to move, but habit and routine no longer give him comfort.

He is dissatisfied and bored. The client might be on either side of this stagnant relationship, the man under the tree or the unappreciated cups. Either way, something must be done to bring these feelings out into the open and change them. There is still time to salvage the relationship, but that time seems to be running out.

This is the “grass is greener on the other side” card; not appreciating what is in front of us or of someone having the attitude of “I won’t grow up” and maybe missing out on life.
Of course there is always more to the picture than meets the eye that can only be uncovered with an actual reading.
